Summary of my paper.
My paper was a social media plan for my personal brand. My personal brand deals with reviewing the music and entertainment industry, going to concerts and reviewing the shows, watching new TV shows and reviewing them, and personal video blogs in which topics range from talking about new artists in the music industry to trying to convince people to go and experience new things that involve the music and entertainment industry. The social media techniques that I used were Twitter, Facebook, Last.fm, Flickr, Tumblr, YouTube, and my WordPress blog which is called “The Check It Out Blog.” With YouTube, Tumblr, and Flickr I would use those social media techniques as a visual aspect to my personal brand by posting pictures and the video blogs. By using Twitter and Facebook, it allows me to send out small messages to my audience and links instead of a long blog post. Using those social media techniques allows the audience to also get a small preview of the blog post and leads them to the actual blog. Last.fm is a social media technique that allows the audience to see what music I am listening to and they can see my recommended tracks and my playlists. It will hopefully help the audience be more opened minded about different types of music. The Check It Out Blog will pull together all of the aspects that the other social media techniques bring. It has all of the blog posts, video blogs, concert slideshows and photographs, and also allows the audience to leave their input by commenting the blog. With all these social media techniques, it allows the audience to be connected to my personal brand and hopefully encourages them to check out things within the music and entertainment industry that they haven’t before.
